A little about me

Carol Nicolas writes YA urban fantasy adventure and mystery novels with strong teen girl protagonists and always a touch of romance. Her novels include The Sixth Power (2013), Double Play: A Novel of Magic (2014) and The Sea Child: Selkie King Mysteries Book One (2017). She is busy completing the last of the Selkie Kings Mysteries series, with Book Two expected to be available in the Summer of 2018.

Carol proudly hails from Alberta, Canada. She now lives with her husband at their beach house in Southern California. A former teacher and mother of 5 children, Carol spends her free time staying connected with family and friends on Facebook, discovering new books and authors, checking her FitBit, and walking on the beach with her West Highland Terrier, “Rocky.”

She has traveled to England, Scotland, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Carol loves foreign foods, cultures and languages. She has studied Modern Greek for over 7 years and if she can’t meet her editor’s crazy writing deadlines, she just might abandon everything and go live in Greece for a few years and eat Baklava while watching the sun set in the Mediterranean Sea.
