November 15th: NaNoWriMo word count: 40,898. My murder mystery, The Sea Child, is coming along nicely. I’m at that point where all the lose ends and clues that have been thrown out there have to be twisted together and head towards a dramatic aha! moment. I’m having a blast!
To all my fellow NaNo writers out there: Don’t give up! You still have two weeks. You’d be surprised how much you can get done when you squeeze in a half hour or so here and there in between all the stuff you have to do and the distractions life throws at you. This is your dream. Don’t listen to the voices that tell you that you can’t do it, that you’re not worthy of such a lofty goal, or you never really wanted to do it in the first place. Don’t listen to them. It’s worth the effort and work to achieve your goal. Now sit down at your computer and keep writing!
