The Grinch stole all the outer trappings of Christmas, but he couldn’t stop Christmas from coming. The Whos in Whoville carried the spirit of Christmas in their hearts, and they sang for joy.
The forces of evil can’t stop Easter either. We may not be able to gather as congregations, but we can gather around our open scriptures and read about the Savior’s resurrection. We can rejoice in this wondrous gift that He has given us. Because of Christ, we can be forgiven of our sins, the slate cleaned, and we can become more than we ever could be on our own. Because of Christ, we too shall be resurrected. Our loved ones who have died are not lost. There will come a time when the graves shall open, and the spirits and bodies shall be reunited, whole and glorious, restored to perfection. Families and friends will be reunited – and all this is because of the great love that Heavenly Father and Jesus have for us. I stand all amazed…
The tomb is empty. He is not here, for he is risen!
