I like to listen to music while I write. Actually, if I had my way, music would be playing all day no matter what I am doing. A wilder kind of music keeps the beat when I’m exercising or doing housework, but when I’m at the computer working, I usually listen to easier, softer tunes. Yesterday I wrote down ten of the songs that I liked the best out of the whole day. Can you tell what all these songs have in common?
Don’t Worry, Be Happy – Bobby McFerrin
Two Hearts — Phil Collins
What’s Love Got to do with it? – Tina Turner
The Heart of Rock ‘N’ Roll — Huey Lewis and the News
Maniac — Michael Sembello
Don’t You Forget About Me — Simple Minds
Hold Me Now — The Thompson Twins
Love Shack — The B-52’s
Super Freak — Rick James
Take On Me — A-Ha
NaNoWriMo update: I’m now at 39,335 words. My novel is coming along!

You got it! I actually listen to more than just 80’s music, but that particular day was an 80’s day.
